Ed's Pawn Shop was opened in 1965 by Edwin Harju, and quickly became a fixture in the Bay-Algoma St area.  Many people in the area still remember the man as a quick-thinking and interesting man who always had a story to tell.

The Ed's Pawn Shop known today was established in 1999, when a pair of brothers bought the store from Ed as he grew older.  The store continued to

flourish, and gained a reputation as fair and reliable.
